Bentley’s Heritage Collection shines through a summer of concours glory

Bentley’s Heritage Collection has enjoyed a remarkable summer, scoring major successes at three of the season’s most prestigious concours events. The collection, rebuilt to 50 remarkable cars spanning over a century of Bentley history, now includes 40 road-legal models alongside 10 ready-to-race machines. The star of Pebble Beach 2025 was the unique 1939 Mk V Corniche, making history as the first manufacturer-entered car to undergo full judging at the event’s 75-year run. This remarkable car was painstakingly restored over 15 years by Bentley experts and partners and was proudly displayed on its original registration, GRA 270. It completed a stunning Tour d’Elegance along the Monterey coastline before the show. At Salon Privé on the grounds of Blenheim Palace, Bentley’s 1953 R Type Continental—often regarded as the design ancestor of the modern Continental GT—grabbed Best-in-Class honours in the historic HJ Mulliner coachwork category. Known affectionately as ‘Jas,’ this recently refreshed classic now lives alongside its trophy in Bentley’s Heritage Garage in Crewe. Another highlight came at Hampton Court Concours of Elegance, where Bentley’s 1930 8 Litre Weymann saloon shone as the best manufacturer-entered car. This exquisite vehicle, one of just 100 built and personally driven by W.O. Bentley for nearly two years, remains a symbol of Bentley craftsmanship and heritage. The 8 Litre leads a superb display from the collection at the event, tracing Bentley’s evolution from 1926 through 2012. Mike Sayer, Head of the Bentley Heritage Collection, pays tribute to the team behind the collection’s revitalisation. “The continued recognition of these cars reflects the dedication and expertise of our Crewe team. This collection tells the story of Bentley through design, performance and craftsmanship and helps shape our future innovation.” Looking ahead, the Bentley Heritage Collection will commemorate key milestones in the Flying Spur’s lineage this October with three bespoke models, continuing to celebrate the brand’s legacy while inspiring its future. Bentley’s Heritage Collection proves that history made with passion still commands attention and shapes what’s next.
