Ford Reveals the Supercharged Mustang Dark Horse

Ford has unveiled a more extreme evolution of the Mustang Dark Horse, introducing the Dark Horse SC with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8. Official output figures remain under wraps, but it clearly surpasses the standard Dark Horse’s 500 horsepower while stopping short of the 815 hp Mustang GTD.Aside from the engine upgrade, the SC also boasts an exterior design that emphasizes depth and structure. The new Mustang GTD features a redesigned front fascia and aluminum hood with hood pins to enhance engine cooling and overall aerodynamics. With the rain tray removed, the setup produces 2.5 times more downforce through an opening five times larger. At the rear, a new diffuser improves airflow, and the Track Pack adds a ducktail-style decklid and carbon fiber wing to further boost downforce while minimizing rear visibility obstruction. The package reportedly generates 620 lbs of downforce at 180 mph.Inside, the GTD offers a flat-bottom steering wheel with a noon marker, Alcantara, and carbon accents. Track Pack buyers can opt for Recaro seats in Space Gray or Teal, which replace the rear seats with a storage shelf. Additional options include a Carbon Fiber Exterior Pack, brake color choices, Teal Accent Package, customizable seatbelts, and painted graphics. The supercharged V8 is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, a carbon fiber driveshaft, and a dedicated differential cooler. Ford Performance–tuned MagneRide suspension, wider track, forged aluminum components, and GTD-derived electronics sharpen responses for sustained track use. Carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fiber wheels, and Michelin Cup 2 R tires complete a package aimed directly at Europe’s elite performance cars, delivering the most capable Dark Horse yet. Subscribe
