The new Hyundai Crater concept makes its world debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. You can watch the livestream right here.If the early sketches are any indication, Hyundai is getting serious about off-roading. The Korean automaker recently teased a rugged SUV called the Crater concept, which looks ready to challenge the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler for off-road superiority—assuming it ever reaches production. Hyundai will officially unveil the Crater concept at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, giving us our first real look at the SUV in the metal. We’ll be there to see it all in person. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait one more day for its world debut. Even if you can’t attend in person, Hyundai will livestream the reveal, so you can watch from home. Mark your calendar: The Hyundai Crater concept debuts at 9:45 AM PT / 12:45 PM ET on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The Crater may never reach production, sadly, but the concept is said to preview Hyundai’s growing lineup of rugged XRT models, currently available on vehicles like the Ioniq 5, Santa Fe, and the latest Palisade. Design cues like flared fenders, new lighting elements, and revised bumpers could eventually find their way onto future Hyundai models. For now, it’s all speculation. We’ll learn everything there is to know about the Hyundai Crater concept when it debuts in LA tomorrow.
