Staff at Omagh Nissan dealer carry out Christmas fundraiser in memory of much-loved colleague

Jack Williams Employees at Pat Kirk Ltd in Omagh, County Tyrone were left devastated when popular accounts assistant, Fay Pratt died last October. Pratt had been with the firm for five years and following her sad passing, her colleagues were desperate to do something in her memory. That opportunity arose back in December, when staff were invited to wear seasonal knitwear on Christmas Jumper Day and make a donation to Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke. The donations made by staff at the dealership were matched by a contribution from the management team, leading to a £1,000 cheque recently being handed over to charity. Reflecting on the fundraiser, Jolene Farrell, group marketing manager at Pat Kirk, said: ‘Fay was not only a valued and dedicated member of our team, but also a genuine friend to many of us. ‘Her warmth, kindness and sense of humour brightened even the busiest days, and her commitment and integrity shone through in everything she did. ‘She is deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. ‘We will continue to raise money for Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke every Christmas jumper day, to keep Fay’s memory alive within our company. ‘The fact that we raised £1,000 is a true reflection of the care and compassion within our team and we cannot thank them enough for what they have given.’
